My vote goes to Upper Iowa University, by far the best online program available. It is not for the faint of heart, the work is difficult, but they have some of the best professors in the country. Also, they are ranked in the top 10% of universities in the country for actually knowing more when you graduate than when you started. find more information on their site.

What about ACBSP Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs? This one accredits the NCU business program but i hear it is not as prestigious. Does it's blessing mean anything concrete? |

THESE ONLINE SCHOOLS ALL OF THEM ON THE LIST ARE A SCAM, I ADVISE NO ONE TO ATTEND THEM.. I WAS SCAMMED BY FLORIDA METROPOLITAN AKA EVEREST (THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR NAME MANY TIMES..THAT RIGHT THERE IS A BAD SIGN... THE SCHOOLS FIND LOOPHOLES AND LITTLE TRICKS TO GET AWAY WITH SCAMMING PEOPLE. EVEREST HEAVILY ADVERTISES ...WHAT REPUTABLE INSTITUTION DOES THAT? ANOTHER THING IS THAT THEY SAY THEY ARE ACCREDITED BUT THEY DO NOT SAY BY WHOM... AND THE CLASSES YOU TAKE AT THESE SCHOOLS CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED..TO COMPARE THESE SCHOOLS TO EVEN YOUR COMMUNITY COLLEGE IS AN INSULT TO COMMUNITY COLLEGES... EVEREST HAS A NATIO NAL ACCREDEDATION...THEY ARE ACCREDITED BUT*** THEIR ACCREDEDATION IS A NO NO!!!... YOUR DIPLOMA IS BASICALLY WORTH NOTHING... AND IT WILL BE HARD FOR YOU TO GET A JOB...SADLY THESE SCHOOLS HAVE REALLY BAD ACTORS IN THEIR COMMERCIALS BEGGING YOU TO JOIN THE SCHOOL.. THEY TARGET YOUNG PEOPLE AND SINGLE MOTHERS WHO ARE TRYING TO GET A HEAD... AND I THINK IT IS WRONG.... ANOTHER THING MEDICAL ASSISTANTS AND PHARMACY TECHNICIAN PROGRAMS ARE A SCAM AS WELL,,, THINK ABOUT IT.. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.. MEDICAL ASSISTANTS MAKE MAYBE ABOUT 11 DOLLARS PER HOUR... IS IT WORTH SPENDING ALL THAT IVY LEAGUE MONEY TO END UP MAKING 11 PER HOUR???? THEIR CAREERS SOUNDS LIKE TRADES.... WHY WOULD YOU GO TO SCHOOL TO BE A RECEPTIONIST... ITS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING BUT WITH A FANCY NAME THAT THEY MAKE UP TO SCAM PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR FINANCIAL AID MONEY..... PLEASE DO NOTTTT ATTEND THESE SCHOOLS IN THE LIST!!!!! THE AMOUNT OF STUDENTS THAT ATTEND HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT THESE SCHOOLS UNFORTUNATELY HAVE FOUND LOOPHOLES TO ROB YOU BLIND!!!

I earned a MSCIS at the University of Phoenix (online) in 2007 and very much love my 6 figure job as a result. The degree was looked upon very highly by the company that I now work for and I am proud to have it on my resume. I would rate the UoP very highly - the experience and education were excellent! I s***est that you give an on-line education another chance - be prepared to work very hard for your degree and to meet great people all over the world.

I've been attending UoP online since late 2006. I am currently in my last class of my junior/3rd year and can't express how grateful I am that students have this opportunity. It's been a bumpy road at times and that's to be expected with ANY school, non-traditional or traditional. I know that I'm going to be a much more knowledgeable and skilled job candidate in about a year when I graduate with my Bachelor's degree and I know that UoP was an excellent choice for me and is an excellent choice for anyone.

Agreed. Just FYI- contractions are not generally accepted in formal and/or professional publication contexts. Of course, online forums are understood to be more casual and informal (ie. chill out).

Capella and Walden are the best (graduate) options, however since Capella offers the Psy.D option vs. Walden's PH.D option Capella is probably better for budding psychologists... Hands down Capella is, "better" at human services/social sciences. Walden has it's strengths as well. Univ of Phoenix and AIU are the least, "academically sound" options available. IMHO.
Best undergrad colleges remain: (1) Excelsior (2) TES (3) Charter Oaks

PsyD, would these 3 be a good choice for a BS in Business/Managment then or are you referring more to the human services area?
Thanks! |
