Given the great disparity in different variables related to education, it could be interesting to know what is the prevailing work attitude among those obtaining on-line degrees

Even though I may have been allowed to hand in just the bare minimum amount of work I always gave more.

I have always looked at going to college as something I am investing my time and money in so I might as well do the best I can, the absolute best and nothing less. Of course I see some students that I instruct who could care less about the content, they just want that piece of paper and could care less if they get A's or B's, in fact I often hear some students say as long as they pass they could care less. While this is not the attitude to have, I will admit that I did have this attitude during a very difficult class and instructor I had at one point. But I made it through the class and ended up with a B! I think the poor attitudes are prevalent whether online or in the traditional classrooms. |

I should also say it probably depends on the course, regardless of the amount of time that remains for the degree, if one enjoys the material then one will work more diligently one learning the information. If one dislikes the material then less effort will probably be expended during the course.

My lowest grade was in a Cog Psych class, I barely managed a,"C". I was busy that quarter and didn't put in much effort and missed a quiz, however, despite the grade I soon discovered that I had gained more insight from the course than most of my fellow students. I am still shocked at the lack of learning that sometimes occurs even at the graduate level. It just goes to show that a degree doesn't mean that you have the gained skills or mastery of the subject.
