Im doing my dissertation on hackers and security but i need to focus on a particular aspects of that field. does anybody know what sort of fields i could possibly choose from? a few s***estions would be much appreciated and very helpful.

I have to ask, how can you choose to do a doctorate degree in a field you have not researched before hand??

Another thing to do is to talk to people who actually work in the field.
