Default The Big 3 college questions

Is it still possible to graduate with a high GPA through excelsior if I was to take 10 cleps exams since they are only P/F, and do the majority of the other exams as ECE and Dantes?

Also what do you feel about the big three in terms of names? Like Excelsior veruses the other 2 that actually say state college? Do you believe that gives the latter more credibility? Also do you feel excelsior offering specific majors like bachelor of science in criminal justice is better than bachelor of science in general studies with a listed concentration as far as where it could take use relatively speaking in job interviews? Would the utility of having a specific major listed increase your chances in your chosen field veruses a general studies degree?

I will take my first 2 clep tests this month. Principles of Management and Introductory Psychology.

Thanks

No, EC is a fine name PLUS it is a member of the State University of New York that is also displayed on your diploma.

I guess it depends on what job you are interviewing for.

The major I will look into is the BS in Criminal Justice or BS in Psychology.

I really want to gain confidence by taking a few clep exams first and passing them before drawing out a concrete degree plan on exactly what classes or
tests I will have to pass.

I would s***est to take the following CLEP exams in this order - Sociology, Psychology, Educational Psychology, Human Growth & Development.

Each one has a lot of overlap and are not too difficult from a beginners perspective. You should also check out www.instantcertonline.com/forums for great CLEP/DANTES exam info.

Good Luck!!

Hi Brian,
Can you please advice on which tests to take to save some money and time if I am applying for a BS in Business Administration at EC, I have an AS from Rockland Community College, and I am a certified PMP. What type of tests if any, are available for higher level credits, and will EC advise me on which tests to take after I am admitted or do I have to pay full tuitionbefore they can do that?

Thanks for your help Brian
