Default Schools that will accept 90+ credits to transfer - OTHER THAN the big-3

I am looking for alternatives to Excelsior, TESC and COSC which does allow to transfer in more than 90-credits. DL/online Bachelors in IT concentration.

Any s***estions?

Ashford University accepts 99 credits:
http://www.ashford.edu/online/transferability.php

Regis University accepts up to 90 credits or 75% of a degree program:
http://cps.regis.edu/earning-credit....internal-prosp

There are probably others out there, but keep in mind most universities will want you to complete at least 30 or around 6 classes, they have to make their money somehow! Also keep in mind that some universities operate on the credit system, if they do accept more than 90 credits, check to see how many credits you have left to complete.

Thanks for all your replies. I just found it hard that only the big-3 opperate in the pay of allowing 100% transfer of credits. There HAS to be a few others also.

The Big 3 are probably your best bet at maximizing credit. They were set up for those purposes. You can try asking your question over at DegreeForum:
http://www.degreeforum.net/

I am afraid that the most you will find is that some colleges allow up to 90 and Ashford allows up to 99 credits to be transferred in.

Please keep in mind that the big three are not perfect. Many RA schools will not honor any of their credits.

E.g. when I applied at the U of MN the Admissions Dept would not honor any credits earned from Excelsior (or TESC, COC), however, they will accept a bachelor degree for admission to graduate school.

Colleges like Ashford and others have even less creditability. If you plan on graduate studies of any type I would stick with the big-3.

World College has Bachelor degree program in Information Systems.

It will allow up to 90 credits in transfer from accredited college/university.
It's required 120 semester credits to complete the degree program.

The transfer credit granted based on how your 90 credits match to the IT / IS curriculum.

You may have 90 credits but not all will transfer to the degree program if these credits are for classes that don't match the required classes for the degree.

www.cie-wc.edu
5193 Shore Drive, Suite 105, Virginia Beach, VA 23455

World College's independent program is well suited to the majority of working adults.

Accreditation DETC.

Interesting situation is when all 90 credits are from RA university and all are accepted.

A friend had similar situation, when he applied to RA graduate schools since majority of his credit came from RA universities he had no problem to be accepted even if the degree was NA.

What can I do with a World College degree? Is it just for military promotion or a raise in pay if you already work somewhere that rewards a Bachelors degree with pay incentives? I'm wondering what a major corp would say if you applied for a job like Texas Instruments or EDS.

A company such as Texas Instruments or EDS is going to recruit from Top 25 or 50 colleges, plus they will probably go after graduate school applicants in most cases. It is really hard now to measure the success of what a bachelors degree can do in today's economic climate. I have a friend who is a Duke University graduate and shes having trouble finding a good paying position. Times are tough! If you are worried about the perception of a degree, then find an online program from a university that is well known in your state or try a top school that offers an online program, keep in mind if you go this route, then the price for the degree may be tripled. Another option is to get a fairly reasonably priced bachelors degree and then go for a masters from a top school. People often choose places such as World College, Penn Foster, Ashworth, etc...due to the fact they do not want financial aid, they can work at their own pace, and because they have plans transferring elsewhere.

Some good advise and replies so far.

One more avenue is what a good friend of my did is earning graduate certificate from Stanford or MIT.

His BSc degree is from DETC accredited California National University.
BTW he is working for HP now, EDS hired him and HP purchased EDS.

He went to Stamford and earned PM certification.
Now he is working on another Grad cert at MIT and MBA from HWU EBS.

His grad Cert in PM provided an exemption for 2 out of 9 MBA classes he is taking at HWU EBS.

Also for a person with good career experience the name of the school may be not as important.
I have Intel, Rockwell, Alcatel and EDS on my resume, plus number of industry respected Certifications.

No body cares about the name of Russian university I graduated some 25 years ego.
