Default Free College Courses

Hello All,

I have recently been reading about all the free courses given by major colleges lately. Does any college actually give a certificate of completion after taking their free courses?

Thank you,

Jimmy

Hello if you are referring to the Open CourseWare Consortium, then in most cases you cannot earn credit for these "courses." The content is available to the public, free of charge, in order for universities around the world to share information and for those who could not otherwise afford college, to do some self study:

I do know of one program where you can earn credit for taking free courses and these are the FEMA courses, which up to 25 credits can be applied to certain degrees at Thomas Edison State College, which is one of the "Big 3."
