Default Distance learning while in China

Hello, I am an American citizen (from CT) currently working on earning a bachelor's degree (online) while I am teaching English in Beijing, CN. I am sort of in a hurry, as the visa situation is becoming increasingly difficult without having a degree here.

I have about 30 credits, earned online from the community college back in CT, and a few dozen FEMA credits which I am going to credit bank with Thomas Edison in the near future. I am considering Charter Oak primarily right now, since Excelsior changed their policy towards the FEMA credits banked through TESC. My plan is to complete my degree by about mid-2009 which gives me some time.

I have very few chances to take the various tests (CLEP, DANTES, etc.) as I am living in China, but may take a few when I go back to visit the U.S.
Does anyone have any advice that could speed up the process of earning my degree? Any particularly good online colleges, that are very cheap and can be taken overseas? (I know many require proctored tests, which isn't really an option for me here) I am still doing some community college classes, but am looking for a way to get some more credits online from a low-cost school that is accredited so that I can earn the degree at an accelerated pace.

Thanks!

Greetings from Guangzhou! I am currently enrolled at Penn Foster, doing FEMA credits, and have some pre-existing college credit I hope to be turning into a degree in the near future. Also Excelsior like many schools will possibly accept foreign credits if you have your transcript evaluated in the USA, I am considering that option as well if I need any extra creds.

Louisiana State U - a little over $200 per 3 credit course - many are online but some are correspondence.

Hey, nice to see someone else in a similar situation! I am considering doing a single class at Penn Foster for now to try it out. Also, good idea about the foreign credits...thanks!
