Default Cook's Institute of Electronics Engineering, gone?

Cook's Institute of Electronics Engineering had been offering the BSEE degree for over 60 years, but now it appears the school has vanished into thin air!

The website www.cooks.edu is no longer online.

What has happened to Cook's? Has it gone out of business? Anyone know?

I tried dialing the number listed for Cook's and received a number "no longer in service" message.

I think the original school is gone.

I found the following information about Cook's Institute at
http://www.manta.com/coms2/dnbcompany_crgzg6

The report lists the annual school's sales at $3,300,000.

That's a pretty good income!

Also, 100 employees?!!

I won't be surprised if they are gone.
There are many on line accredited degree programs for less than what CooK (unrecognized accredotir)was charging.

Here is one more connection

The deliveries of learning are full-time class instruction and external distance correspondence, locally and country-wide;

ECO-M-INTELLECT - CIEE is represented by Mrs. Sofka Mladenova, Director;

ECO-M-INTELLECT - CIEE is monitored for compliance with accreditation criteria every two (2) to three (3) years by the NAPNSC Accrediting Commission staff. The initial NAPNSC staff visit was July 21 to 29, 2000;

You might write to their accreditor or state approval agency to see who has their records.

Default It is gone

The question is moot at this juncture ... it is gone.

I graduated from Cook's Institute of Electronics Engineering in 1974. That was so long ago, but I remember much about it. Their accreditationwas always questionable and that school disapeared from my resume long ago. I was young and just out of the service after serving in the SE Asia conflict ... mixed up and trying to find my way in life. The opportunities that are available now did not exist then.

I recall some years ago, sometime in the 1970s in fact, I received a letter from Canada asking about them. It was from a younger person who was contemplating enrolling. I could not, in all good conscience, recommend them.
