Default University of Phoenix Invoicing

I need a little help but I'm not quite sure where to turn. My son is enrolled in UoP criminal justice program. Or maybe I should say he was enrolled. Shortly after starting he decided to quit mostly because of concerns that he might not be able to transfer credits later and his instructor wouldn't respond to email. Well time went on and he never heard anything from them and never paid a dime to them. That was in January of this year. Then about a month ago he received an emailed invoice supposedly from the UoP. Only problem is that the email doesn't actually appear to be from UoP it looks like it is from a collection agency forwarded from the UoP. And the invoice itself certainly leaves something to be desired.

Several calls to UoP have left us even more confused. On one call he was told he owed them nearly $12,000 for the first full year of tuition because they said he hadn't withdrawn. On a second call they told him the bill was only $5878. Neither of these figures match the email invoice total of $9658.64 but in all honesty I don't trust the email either and here's why. No one at UoP will email me a new invoice! We are getting a constant run around. They won't tell me anything and my son seems to get a different story every time he talks to them. And the kicker is that the emailed invoice is about as unprofessional as I have seen. It's nothing more than a one page Word document with their logo in the upper lefthand corner.

So has anyone else ever had an experience like this with UoP? Better yet, does anyone have a legitimate invoice they could post or send me? Take your personal info off, I just want to see what the real thing looks like. And even more importantly, has anyone dealt with them and gotten a straight answer over their invoicing?

And if anyone might have a good contact of someone knowledgable that I could contact that would be wonderful!

Thanks in advance
