If you would write an essay, much better if you will focus on topic which you can easily manage your ideas/ opinions. Things that interest you the most or familiar with. I agree on what haapyguy said that " Once you put your heart into it, you will write well irrespective of whether you know something about it or not."

You both have some good ideas here. From my experience, the best essays come from a mix of resources...online research, personal experience, interviews...even the occasional youtube video!

Be dynamic with your information and your essays will reap the rewards.

I sit with some music on when writing. I also found an incredable site I use...has a thesis generator. And links to some great topics.

1. Listening to music may help you write better, but it's not a ground-breaking suggestion for creating good content.
