pls. answer. what is a STUDY CENTRE for a university? if you take the example of periyar maniyamma university, it has got around 100 study centres. most of thses study centres offer programes claiming they are affliated to this university. we can see the same in their website

my question is: I went through an institute called institute of innovative management ( http://www.iimaindia.in/) and they are affliated to Periyar Maniyamma university ( http://www.pmu.edu/coade/centres.html). the university website states IIMAs name as the authorised study centre. however,if i do MBA from IIMA, is it the university/the institute giving me the certificate? i called IIMA and they said that the certificate will have the logo of the university.

could you pls. let me know whether the certificates of IIMA are valid? i need this info. for an important purpose . pls help
