:) Greetings and Merry Christmas to all.
I would appreciate any comments pro and/or con about Capella University - www.Capella.edu
They are an online accredited university I'm looking into and want as much feedback about the place as I can get.
I appreciate you time and help.
Merry Christmas - Happy New Year to all.

Greetings to you too
Capella, is Regianally accreited, that would mean the usual, accredited, recommended, as far as the service is concerned, you will probably have to try them to find out on that one

Hi -
Capella is (imo) quite expensive. It's a legit school and I'm sure many students are happy - but like any big place there are some disgruntled people. And some of them SUE.
For info from their side see this link:

I'm not saying Capella is bad - not saying it's great, either. I can find good schools for less money that don't seem to have rabid detractors who sue and make websites of this nature.
Examine both sides and whatever alternatives you have and make up your own mind. I wish you success whatever you decide. :-)

Yer pal,

from your post in another thread you seem to be looking at some type of Masters program and I will assume a MBA. Have a look here for some ideas.

If on the other hand you are looking for an undergrad degree try the same web site but at

To get the most out of this forum it would be helpful if you identified your objectives, your current level of education and any limitations you have about location or budget.

But I am sure that for that for the cost you paying for their degree, their customer service i expected to be excellent. Or else, the university is accredited with poor service, how does such a place get accreditation in the first place. Accreditation suppose to ensure good quality service and education

Hi Ahmed -
I dunno about that. I've been to schools where GOOD education and HORRIBLE service are the norms. I know of no part of the accreditation process that measures how fast they pick up the phone or get back to you - or any part that takes points off for blatant misdirection or snarky high-handed attitude. Maybe there SHOULD be a "customer satisfaction" survey. I think MANY schools would fail.
I can remember coming back from enrolment at the same university my daughter-in-law graduated from. She asked "Were they rude to you? Did they refuse to give you what you wanted?"
I replied affirmatively to both questions. She and I agreed that the Admin. folks seemed to be doing their jobs as usual. Know why? Because NOTHING BAD HAPPENS! Tertiary education seems to be immune to the penalties of bad customer service. People still enrol and take the flak, consoling themselves that the end product is worth the hassle. And it usually is. It works for colleges etc. Wouldn't work for Sears or General Motors, though! :-(

I would agree that universities would fail on customer service surveys, I havent dealt with any other university in the US, besides BSU, and am assuming they would be bad service taking into consideration the number of enrolled students.
As you mentioned, the hassles is worth the wait. So people just have to hang in there or else go to an unaccredited school that has better service.
