I completed a Doctoral degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry- School of Audiology.

However you need to have completed graduate work in audiology to apply.

Very reasonably priced program at $250.00 per course.

Hi -

Your question is too general to be of much help.

(1) In what field of study?
(2) What type of doctorate? Ph.D., D. Phil. D.B.A., Ed. D?
(3) Are we restricted to U.S. schools or do you have another country of
preference - considering we're talking Distance Ed. here - or aren't we?

I know hardly anything about doctoral-level education myself but with more info, I'm sure somebody in the forum can help you.

Please let us know. :-)

Shamsher Ali -

This site below will give you 30 possibilities for a Ph.D. in Law - all in India - I don't know how many, if any offer Distance Degrees. Totally distance Ph.D's of any type are (to me) pretty well unknown in North America. (There are always residencies of some kind in any Ph.D. program, although some can be short.) That said, I could not, on short notice, find ANY accredited U.S. University offering a distance Ph.D. in your field - Law. (Lots of "bogus" ones, many countries! :-( )

http://www.webindia123.com/career/law/list.asp?action=Ph.+D.+in+Law

the University of Peshawar in Pakistan offers a Ph.D. in law, but I don't think this one is available in Distance mode either.

I have seen Ph.D. programs in law available in the U.K. - one such is at www.liv.ac.uk/law but although programs I saw can be "part or full time" I saw no direct reference to distance mode.

In those ill-mannered and oft-quoted words "Hey, lawyer, I'm talkin' to you!" Any law grads/postgrads in the forum who can help?

Shamsher Ali -

There is a man who posts on www.degreeinfo.com as "Nosborne" or "Nosborne48" who, I believe lives in the US and has studied for, or already received an advanced law degree from the UK by distance education.

His postings have dealt in detail with overseas postgrad law degrees and he's the most informed forum-writer on this subject I've read.

Try and log onto www.degreeinfo.com and see if you can get word through to him. If anyone can help you, it'll be him!

I wish you every success. :-)

You may wish to checkout CSU - www.columbiasouthern.edu ; I believe they either have or are starting one.

Hi Brian -

I heard about the Doctoral "Pilot" - an important "first" for DETC and CSU.

I'm pretty sure it's only ONE program - a DBA. I found it on the CSU site - no mention of Ph.D programs at all - including law, which Shamsher Ali is looking for.

Of course, it's always possible you know more about CSU (and DETC) than I do....

Regards :-)
