Western Governer's University. It is fairly new and the courses consists of education and computer relater degrees. Does anyone have information about this school?

Most importantly, their accreditation appears second to none. They're Regionally Accredited by not one, but FOUR of the "Big Six" Associations, Nationally Accredited by DETC and they say they are the ONLY on-line school to receive NCATE (teacher education) Accreditation. This level of accreditation is a pretty big plus, I'd say.

They stress "competency-based learning" - meaning basically that once you get through your courses you are an expert in the subject matter and are able to DO something well, not just pass exams.

Looks like a great school to me and I've never heard/read anything adverse!!

I am Toby and am new to this forum. I am applying to UMUC, Strayer, WGU and Touro. My education was overseas and the problem I am facing is that each university has a particular evaluation company ( NAFSA or NACES or AACRAO etc).
It is expensive (approx 170 a pop+ more for rushing it). Does anyone know of a solution to combat this?

APU (www.apus.edu) is an excellent choice; please note that the website you listed comes back to a non-accredited school in California. Sorry I do not have any opinons on NAFSA, NACES.
