Indian Medical Degree awarded by National Board of Examination is equated to MD or MS according to the Gazette notification. Can this degree be equated to PhD in a foreign country though the Board itself has declared that it can not be equated to PhD. If a doctor manages to get his qualification obtained from the Board wrongly equated to PhD in a foreign country in order to avail of financial benefits, is this punishable under Indian law? Can anyone clarify
