I have a BA and AA from a traditional university. I am currently working on an MA in Education from the University of Phoenix Hawaii campus (not online). I am also concurrently working on a second B.S. in Geoscience with a concentration in Broadcast Meteorology from MSU online. I am very pleased with this program. They also offer a certificate program also but since I already have a BA I only need a few extra classes to get the full B.S. I do have another problem though. The MSU geoscience degree is mainly for media weather forcasting jobs like TV and radio and is light on some Math, Physics, and a couple of other courses. IN order to work for the Federal goverment for NOAA in the NWS I need some additional classes. I can get the Calc I & II and Differential equations through LSU and I can get the Calc Based Physics I & II with Lab through the CCCS online system. What I can't find is about 3 core courses. Hydrology, Atmospheric dynamics, and Remote sensing of the atmosphere or instrumentation. I have found a couple of non credit sites through JICA and METed but none for credit and online. Right now, I would be happy if I just found the Remote sensing course. Any help?
