Who here is taking an online degree program toward their masters, and who toward their bachelors? There are lots of both kind of programs out there.
I'm working towards my bachelor's degree, myself.

I'm also working towards my BS. I think my graduate school will be in a face-to-face setting, though.

Retired!!! :D
I've been a policeman now for 25+ years and I would like to be a teacher.

A teacher of criminal justice, I assume! 25 years as a police officer... god I can't imagine what a life you've had. Very cool. Is it as exciting as it seems on TV?

I've got my BS, and I would like to get a Masters. Does anyone know how credits transfer? My BS is in Leisure Services, but I would like to get a Masters in counseling. Would I have to start over?

Yeah, that's a great question. I had an eye doctor whose BS was in psychology, and that seemed a little odd.

Not only could he tell you that you weren't seeing right, he could tell you why you weren't seeing right. He had multiple ways to make you see clearly, huh?
My degree is varied enough that counseling might be okay. I guess I'll have to go through the application process to find out for sure. It would be nice if they just said "with any BS or BA degree you can apply to our Master's program."

lol... cute, kelcat. ANd pretty true, I guess.
I would guess that some of your credits would transfer towards your MS and others wouldn't. Good luck... I hope they transfer a bunch and you don't find that you have to start all over.

So the on line degrees are irregular degrees? :)
How easy is it to convert your bachelor's into a master's - not just on line, but at a school other than the one where you got your first degree?

well, i have a bachelors in education, and i'm getting a masters in creative writing, so its not connected at all. they are two separate degrees. i don't know how well bachelor degrees transfer when it comes to online courses.

I was going to be taking classes towards my BA but when I found out I was pregnant that all went out the door quickly. But eventually things will get back on track for right now I'm busy raising my son, who just woke up :).
