I am in my last quarter of an associates degree at a local community college, and I am trying to decide where to go for my bachelors degree. After I get my bachelors, I want to get a masters from the Savannah College of Art and Design. I was going to go to a state college for the bachelors because I live in Georgia and the tuition would be free with the HOPE scholarship, but it doesn't look like they are going to give me many transfer credits, so I am considering some other colleges. I have been a web designer for seven years, and I have a variety of credits from different colleges, so I think I could probably finish a degree from TESC, COSC, or Excelsior within a year (less would be even better!). If you have a bachelors degree from one of these schools, could you please tell me about your experience getting into grad school?

Thank you!
Michelle

I was looking through the list of colleges on degree.net and came across a program at Bellevue University http://www.bellevue.edu/ that looks like it might work too. I've never heard of this college though. I didn't find any messages here about the college when I searched. It looks like it started as a traditional college but now offers several online programs. Has anyone had any experience with this college?

Thanks,
Michelle

I've been doing more research to narrow down my choices. Since I've got the HOPE scholarship, I think I'm going to go to the state college for the spring semester, try to take as many upper level classes for free as I can, and then enroll in Thomas Edison or Charter Oaks in the summer. I crossed Excelsior off my list because I wondered why they don't offer federal financial aid.

It's difficult to tell which school would be best from reading through the websites. It looked like Charter Oaks would be less expensive for me, but I'm leaning toward Thomas Edison. I have several 200 level classes, and TESC considers upper level anything above 100 level, where Charter Oaks only counts 300 and 400 classes as upper level. If I do enroll at TESC, I'm hoping I can concentrate in Art and Communications (would that be called Humanities?) but I haven't quite figured out how their concentrations work.

Does anyone who's gone to either of these schools have any feedback? Would it be better to apply before enrolling in the state school so that an advisor could help me choose the right classes? And, back to my original question, does anyone have experience getting into grad school with a TESC or COSC degree?

Thank you!
