I know that I have done the online college thing myself. Due to the time constraint and deployments of the military, I had no other choice. I must say that the majority of the education I received was traditional classroom. I will tell anyone if they can attend a traditional college, please, please do so. A traditional education is very valuable and even though distant and online education are highly accessible, that traditional education is priceless. This college .com thing we got going is a great thing to the busy professional and working folk who can't get to the classroom, I should know. Most of us already have experience in the fields for which we study. If you are a brand new student desiring a secondary education, it can be very difficult trying to earn a college education without the benefit of an actual college professor there to guide you, or fellow students encouraging you to stay the course. I say this to those of you starting anew in you quest for a secondary education. Remember, there are some awesome traditional schools out there, and not all online colleges are cracked up to what they say they are. Also remember the diploma mils, they also provide courses of instruction to make themselves look just as good as a traditional school. Check out www.acenet.edu for more info.

God Bless and Best wishes in you education

Certain people can dither endlessly in distance education courses. Others thrive. I thrive. I find absolutely nothing is provided to me in a classroom situation that I can't get from reading a book, which I have to read anyway.

I have spent way too many years in both situations and prefer doing it on my own.
