I've heard that some of the group projects you take on under the Univ. of Phoenix online degree program are incredibly involved and difficult. Anybody out there that can tell me if this is the case?

I think group projects in general are difficult. :) That being said, I haven't heard that particular criticism about the University of Phoenix.

I know there is special software to help facilitate group projects online, but it still seems like a logistical nightmare!

The way we did group projects was through an special area with what they called the whiteboard. It is basically a live chatroom where you go and have a conversation with the other people in your group and you talk about what you have done, post your work and figure out what needs to be done next. The teacher is usually involved or available if you need help during the time. We were all assigned certain things that we had to do then came together as a group to put it all together into one lump project. It was pretty easy and we talked throughout the whole thing to get it done.

I have found doing projects in a group situation online frustrating. I have only done one and not looking forward to doing anymore.
