When I have a class project with a partner for my online classes, we usually meet in person at least once to discuss the work (if possible). When you have projects with partners, do you do all your communicating online, or do you meet in person, too?

I think it depends on the project. I have done one project online. But I find it easier to meet at least once a week to make sure we are on the same page. But I have done it both ways.

The students in my classes are spread out all over the place, so physically meeting is impossible. I really hate class projects to begin with, but when you add location problems to the mix it gets really hard to do.

Yeah, I guess with some schools (University of Phoenix comes to mind), the students are spread out all over the country. The online program that I'm a part of (at Rio Salado) mostly has students in the same metro area, so we can meet in person if it suits the project.

I suppose this isn't true of most online programs, but it's a nice benefit for me. Sometimes it's easier to get the work done when you're face to face.

I am kinda shy so I would probably meet online as my first choice. But if I know that partner beforehand then I wouldn't mind meet him/her in person.
