Has anyone done anything here?

http://www.sckans.edu/

It's between this and penns foster.

I can't find where on Penns Fosters site that it says they are accredited. That my degree will actually mean something.

Western says this

"Yes, Southwestern College and the Professional Studies' programs (both on ground and online) are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association"

I know nothing about Southwestern college. However, to help you in your decision making process, here is the accreditation statement from Penn Foster:
http://pennfoster.edu/accreditation.html

Penn Foster's degree programs are only DETC (nationally) accredited.

Southwestern college appears to be regionally accredited which is a more recognized standard.

Hi -

Somebody forgot to mention 2 things:

(1) Southwestern's tuition is FIVE TIMES Penn Foster's - almost $300 per credit hour at Southwestern, around $58 at Penn Foster

(2) Penn Foster grants Nationally accredited Associates (2 year) degrees. Southwestern doesn't mention Associate degrees anywhere. Regionally accredited 4-year Bachelor's and (graduate) Master's degrees seem to be their specialty.

Do you want to do an Associates first or are you going right into a Bachelor's?

Less expensive RA options for Bachelor's include www.lsu.edu and www.peru.edu -they may also have Associates programs. Check 'em!

RA Associates can be VERY reasonable through distance ed. at Community Colleges. Start by looking at www.riosalado.edu and www.maricopa.edu

There's always the Big 3 for either level - for the self-motivated who want to earn an RA degree with much work and minimal expense:

www.excelsior.edu , www.tesc.edu , www.cosc.edu. Cheers! :-)
