Hi -

I am considering enrolling in the DBA progam at Columbia Southern University. Is anybody in this forum a student there? If so, what are your thoughts (likes/dislikes). Is the admin & faculty easy to get a hold of? How is the work load (lite, med, heavy)? Any other thoughts???

I have heard some good things about Columbia Southern University's undergraduate and masters programs. Please note that their DBA program is nationally accredited by DETC. So if you are planning on using the DBA in academia you may find that it has little or no utility. For personal and professional reasons you may have more success with the DBA.

Their tuition is pretty high for a non-RA school. I'd go RA, personally.

I have just enrolled on the DBA at Columbian Southern University and just about to start my orientation programme. I find them very interestting, responsive and friendly. As per course work, I am not sure yet.

Please, does anyone know any Regionally or Nationally accredited university that runs 100% online PhD or DBA in business that is affordable?

I think Columbia Southern is as cheap as it gets in the US. Rumor has it that DETC accredited California Coast University may have a program in 2008. They might be a bit cheaper but who knows?

You could go to Northcentral University. They will waive 30 credits of your masters degree and will accept up to 15 semester credit hours of doctoral level credit. You can call and talk to them about which doctorate level classes they will accept. So you have the potential to transfer in 45 credits and that would leave you at about 36 credits to get your PhD or DBA at a cost of around $18,000.

If you change your mind about business programs, there is Harrison Middleton University. They have an Education Doctorate and a new Doctorate of Arts program, that are both DETC accredited and in the $16000-$17000 range. You wont find the Doctorate of Arts program on their website, but in their handbook.

You could also look to some of the research only doctorates from South Africa and try Johnny's Distance Learning Page:
