How old were you when you decided to go back to school (online or on campus) to further your education?

I think this question is really relevant to the older people who are looking, but think it is too late for a career change. :D

This year I'm 22. I spent 2 years working in the real world and that was way more than enough time to tell me I wanted my degree. I was tired of doing everybody's job and getting no where near as much as them.

You sound like me. I, too, had enough of the real world. I worked as a waitress for 3 years. I am now 24 and have a decent career going for me and I'm looking to continue my education. I never want to go back to what I had to put up with in that job. I was doing the job that should have been like 3 different peoples jobs...they just didn't want to staff.. why should they? I was getting $2.82 an hour, plus tips.. but it was the slow days on that wage where we would really have to bust our butts. Never again.

How awful you sound like my job twin. $2.82 an hour, you were vastly underpaid.

I went back at age 37 to get a degree that would compliment the work I was doing at the time. After exhausting the opportunites for night courses at a local university, I transferred into an online program and completed the courses I was not able to get at night.
