I posted something in another thread that led me to ask this question. Why do you want your degree? It seems that some people out there want to get their degree just to have it-- for a raise at work, a better position, whatever. And other want it to have it, but also to learn.
What's your main motivation for getting your degree?

Well I was forced by my mother.
It's a hard question, I wish I could go back in time and ask the same question in my philosophy course.
Never had motivation just had to do it, Just like getting a high school diploma. never had the power to get up and go study but still did it.

I'm working on my Master's because it is important to me to finish what I start. I also want to show my kids that they can do anything and that baby steps can finish marathons.

Sometimes I ask myself that very question, usually when I'm up late at night working on an assignment. I think I just want to GET IT DONE and move on with my life.
My main motivation is to get my own clients and to make a wayyy better living for my family. That is why I am considering a business degree, so I can start my own medical transcription company. I have already talked to several people about it and there are a lot of docs around me that are in need of help..there are just too many for me to take on at once...and I also just want to be better prepared, so I also have something to fall back on later in life incase it doesn't work out.
