Top Business School IIMA

Does anyone know about IIMA?
I have been told this is one of the top business school in the world!:D

Interesting. It appears they are an Institute, not a University, which would have an .ac domain as they often do in other English-speaking countries.

That is NOT to say they are an inferior school, but they do not offer degrees - see below:

They have "MBA-level" and "Doctoral-level" programs, for which they award DIPLOMAS, not MBA or Doctoral degrees. The web-site states further that their "doctoral-level" program is deemed EQUIVALENT by Indian authorities to a Ph.D. in Management.

I'd say the school is of limited interest to those outside India, as it does not make ANY mention of distance-ed on its website. All instruction appears to be on-campus. There are, however, semester-long exchange programs with 25 other schools.

I have no idea what standard a NACES member organization such as www.wes.org would assign to an IIMA diploma.

I'd suggest if someone outside India wanted to earn an Indian business DEGREE (not Diploma), they should try www.ignou.ac.in - Indira Gandhi National Open University. The school is well-accredited, highly-regarded and does distance-ed. The fees are also incredibly low. :-)
