Does anyone of you know about Trump University, founded by Donald Trump?
http://www.trumpuniversity.com/
Is this an accreadited institution?
But why the website is ended with.com instead of .edu?
Trump's faculty has many great professors. See below link:
http://www.trumpuniversity.com/company/faculty.cfm
Trump University is an online university owned by Donlad Trump as we all know the billioner that goes broke very often.
Trump University although having the word university in it. it not a real university it does not have credit or degrees such as Associate, Bachelor, Master, Docotrate
Trump university Is NOT Accredited by any organization It is not a Diploma Mill because they do not provide a Diploma just courses.
Wikipedia quote: " Donald Trump brought together education pioneer Roger Schank (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roger_Schank) and professors such as Gary Eldred (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Gary_Eldred&action=edit) (Stanford) to work out the curriculum for the subjects.?"

Hi Kyle -
Trump University is unaccredited, as you say. And you're right - I wouldn't call them a mill, either. I think if someone took courses there, they really could learn something. They are not expensive programs - I believe the highest cost is around $500 and I'm sure you could get your money's worth.
Contrary to your statement, they DO issue diplomas in a couple of cases. They're strictly honest about it - these diplomas are NOT CALLED degrees and I see no problem in issuing them. I believe one is issued for a 6-month Marketing course and another for a course of similar duration in Entrepreneurship.
You refer to Donald Trump as "the billionaire who goes broke very often."
Uh-huh, the credit-crunch and financial difficulties Mr. Trump's enterprises faced in the early 90s are well-documented. His largely successful battle against these setbacks is detailed in his books. I believe, however, that in spite of these difficulties, Mr. Trump has never personally "gone broke" and of 18 corporations he controls, only his gaming corporation has "gone broke," as you put it. 17 out of 18 is not a bad score. I think this record qualifies Mr. Trump as a survivor more than a "billionaire who goes broke very often."
Anyway, we're agreed on the major points. Unaccredited, not a mill and yeah - IMO a person could learn something valuable.
Cheers :-)

Just humor I wish I had 10% of his knowlage and experience ( and money ) he is a very good man.
The only thing I really dislike is his T.V. show but I am sure he is just doing it to get free advertisment & make more money.

Hi again -
Yes , that was a perfectly good, (and harmless) joke! It was WAY better than the Trump jokes that deal with the famous comb-over hairdo! Sorry if my response was a bit too serious -- The Donald is certainly doing well enough for himself that he doesn't need me to defend him!
About the show -- right again! I don't like it either - but it does sell and, as you say, Kyle, I'm sure Donald Trump gets both free advertising and lots of money from it.
The "advertising" consists basically of making the T-R-U-M-P (flashing lights, please) Brand even MORE visible than ever. Mr. Trump knows the value people have come to place on his "label" --and just how to keep it in the public eye.
As we both agree, he is a VERY smart man. I've no doubt one could really learn something valuable from his courses ---and that he likely has a quite a few MORE business secrets he keeps to himself, rather than make them public as part of the Trump University curriculum!
Anyway --we seem to agree we both like the guy, but not the show!
Cheers! :-)

Hi -
2 or 3 days ago, Donald Trump was keynote speaker at the Real Estate and Wealth Expo held by The Learning Annex, in Toronto (50 miles from me).
His fee for this single speaking engagement was said (on TV news) to be $1,500,000! Wow!
Go DONALD!! :-)

he is a self-publicist, he started off rich and makes money. hardly a wonder businessman though. Warren Buffet I think has far more talent for business but doesnt have a TV show! There are loads of self-made men who would be better to see on TV

I think it is great that he has Trump University...I just wish he went through channels and got an offical degree granting status and accredidation...maybe employers would pay the tuition.

Hi -
Just a comment - I have great respect and admiration for both Donald Trump and Warren Buffett, rightly known as "The Sage of Omaha."
It's kinda like comparing apples and oranges, in ways. Donald Trump gained his wealth primarily through real estate dealings, starting with his father's company. Besides his astuteness, he has become a master at marketing his own brand-name and has a natural showman's flair that has served him well.
Warren Buffett is anything but flamboyant, as we all realize. Heck, he likes burgers and lives in a house he bought for $31,500! His Dad was a stockbroker (and a U.S. Representative). Warren had a good grounding in business and learned a thing or two about securities valuation from the then-supreme master, Benjamin Graham. He worked hard to develop his skills further and started out in his attic, first managing money for friends and family. He and his long-time friend Bill Gates (Microsoft) have become known also for their philanthropic works.
Besides their well-known business abilities, Mr. Buffett and Mr. Trump share one more thing in common: excellent formal educations. Another good lesson for us all, here!
I think Trump University is a great idea, among many that Mr. Trump has had and if Warren Buffett ever started a university, I'd likely be knocking on the door!
More power to both of 'em! :-)
