Has anybody out there heard of any scholarship programs for people interested in getting a degree online?

Don't most scholarship programs apply to students who utilitze online classes too? Or do you mean scholarships specifically for online students?

To be honest, I'm not sure. I guess I always assumed that most scholarships only applied to students who went to normal schools. I'm not sure why I thought so, though. Is that not the case?

If I were you I would take a look at the offerings through your particular school. I know my institution offers lots of great scholarships for everyone...I just don't bother because they're mostly for full-time students and I'm enrolled 3/4 time.

I understood that as long as it was an accredited school the scholarships could be used for on-line.

Good point that it needs to be accredited. There are an awful lot of so-called online universities which may not be accredited.

It use to be that you had to be a "traditional" student in order to get financial aid but I believe this has changed since online education has finally become so popular and even Ivy League Schools are now offering online classes.
