Hi Geffen -

There's a thread on Tripp in this forum somewhere - please look for it and save us the trouble of writing the same stuff twice.

Summary:

Unaccredited
Inexpensive
Folks seem honest & sincere.
Requires work, but not to nearly the same level as a RA or NA degree.

Pretty well ALL unaccredited degrees have some limitations on their utility in the employment market - although unaccredited religious-oriented degrees sometimes work quite well in church-related employment, depending on the school and the religious denom.

May be right for you if it fits your beliefs and your budget and MEETS YOUR NEEDS!

Might be just the thing if your denom. accepts degrees from Tripp. Ask them!

Don't just accept what I say. Find out if it meets YOUR NEEDS. That's what's important.

I wish you every success. :-)

Johann

I myself am not fond of degrees which are not accredited through the U.S. Department of Education, however, seeing that Tripp is a religious degree granting institution, what difference does it make? Tripp IS accredited, just not by the U.S. Dept. of Ed.

What I'm trying to say is, if someone is going into let's say non-denominational ministry, then a U.S. accredited degree is not neccesary. A religious degree is not really worth anything outside of a church. The U.S. Dept. of Ed. actually said that themselves. I read it in a court case online somewhere.

I have did some investigation on Tripp, and they seem like a good solid place for anyone looking for a religious degree/education. Costs are very low, and the people are friendly.

We have to remember, Religion is FREE. The apostles never went to a college or a seminary to preach the Lord's word. What is all boils down to is self-satisfaction and personal preference.

Pax Christi,
