I have done both online and campus courses and I think that the online is much quicker for me to finish my degree in. Actually I know it was. What are your views on this do you think that you can finish your degree online faster than in a brick and mortar school?

LilOne1989,

I myself have been enrolled in a distance education B.S. program at Mountain State Univserity in WV for the last year and as soon as I finish the remainder of this semester (12 weeks) I will have approx. 65 credits toward my B.S. degree so I can honestly say it seems to fly by when you do it through a distance. I like the fact that you are not bound by the regular schedule, and you can finish one semester and start the next one the next day if you wish with no break in between.

My husband did the same thing when he completed his B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration at MSU and now he is working on completing his masters there in the same fashion.

Take care

I thing that for me it was much easier in so many ways esp., with my kids. I didn't have to worry about where they were and what they were doing cause I was right there with them. When I went to a brick and mortar college I had to quit one semester short of my degree because I didn't have anyone to watch my kids and I couldn't afford the daycare. It took me about 10 years to go back and by that time I nearly had to start over again from scratch, but I finally made it which is what counts.

Online was definitely faster than traditional for me. I would recommend it to just about anyone who is juggling work and family while they try to earn a degree.

I have taken some online course here at our local community college. I found this to be so much easier than having to actually attend a class on campus. I have two young sons at home and this way was so much easier all around on us. I hope to do more here in the near future.

I think online is quicker simply because you can take more classes. Since you don't have to worry about going to class, you can take a larger course load and finish more quickly. Plus, it seems to me that they provide more opportuities for a quick program online.

Online was way faster for me. It is easier to just be able to sign on at home and do my thing instead of getting ready, driving to a campus and finding someone to babysit my daughter. I would do it all over again.

I don't think it's faster so much as it is convenient. I once took six classes at a brink and morter in one quarter. All I did was school, but it helped me get my degree done faster.

Online you can usually do the classes when you want or can squeeze it in. In person, you do the classes when they are scheduled.
